The grand return of our tree-planting project! We'll have 100 native trees and shrubs to plant in our little glade as we re-vegetate an area still recovering from a major mudslide in the 1990s. We'll have lots of jobs for everyone -- from hauling dirt and compost, to mixing soil, to planting trees, to sitting in the parking lot cheering us on. Don't be surprised to find cookies and sandwiches to reward your hard work (as if hard work on a good cause weren't already its own reward). There could be mud. There WILL be fun!
