About this Event
Join me for a hands-on beginner gardening workshop where we’ll learn in an actual working garden. Instead of just talking about fall gardening, you’ll see how to prepare, plant, and care for a fall vegetable garden.
During this workshop, you’ll learn:
🌱 What vegetables can still be planted for fall
🌱 Seeds vs. transplants—and when to use each
🌱 How succession planting can extend your harvest
🌱 Basic garden tools and supplies
🌱 Preparing your soil and planting area
🌱 Proper planting and spacing
🌱 Watering, mulching, and caring for young plants
🌱 What to expect as temperatures begin to cool
We’ll also do some actual planting so you can see these techniques in action and feel more confident using them in your own garden.
Your registration includes:
A printable Fall Garden Starter Guide with a beginner-friendly list of tools, supplies, seeds, and transplants.
Cost: $35 per person
Space is limited to keep the workshop personal and hands-on. Advance registration and payment are required.
What to wear/bring:
Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes suitable for working around a garden. You may also want to bring gardening gloves, water, sunscreen, and a hat.
Participants will be asked to sign a waiver before the workshop begins.
Please note: This is a privately offered gardening class being held in a working community garden. It is not a volunteer event or fundraiser for the host location.
