About this Event
Can you barely contain your excitement when it comes to growing food in small spaces? Then we have the workshop for you! Join the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Food Well Alliance for a workshop on Container Gardening for Edible Plants! From annual vegetables to fruit trees and herbs, we'll dig into tips and tricks for thriving container gardens!
We'll cover:
- Choosing the right containers
- Selecting a soil mix
- Spacing and planting
- Feeding and fertilizing
- Long-term maintenance for perennial plants
Plant Eat Repeat workshops are always free and open to all experience levels! They're also an opportunity to check out an awesome community garden and see what's growing there!
Getting to the Garden:
There is a large parking lot in front of the N. Cobb Regional Library. As you approach the main entrance, you'll see the community garden located on an island in the parking lot. The workshop will take place indoors in the library's main meeting room (head to your right after you come through the main entrance). We'll have staff there to help direct you and you can also ask library staff if you have any trouble finding the workshop!
Restrooms are available in the library.
