About this Event
Can you barely contain your excitement when it comes to growing food in small spaces? Then we have the workshop for you! Join the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Food Well Alliance for a workshop on Container Gardening for Edible Plants! From annual vegetables to fruit trees and herbs, we'll dig into tips and tricks for thriving container gardens!
We'll cover:
- Choosing the right containers
- Selecting a soil mix
- Spacing and planting
- Feeding and fertilizing
- Long-term maintenance for perennial plants
Plant Eat Repeat workshops are always free and open to all experience levels! They're also an opportunity to check out an awesome community garden and see what's growing there!
Getting to EMBARC:
Enter EMBARC through the gate off of Rock Chapel Road. Once through the gate, turn right to drive towards the parking area next to the park office. There is lots of parking available on-site.
We'll be meeting in the picnic pavillion located at the back of the parking lot area.
Restrooms are available in the park office.
