About this Event
This three-part, hands-on workshop series introduces you to how professional planting plans are created and gives you the confidence to design your own.
Through practical exercises and guided discussion, you’ll learn how to read a space, understand its conditions, and make planting choices that work together as a whole. Each session builds on the last, helping you gradually develop your own planting plan.
By the end of the series, you’ll leave with a completed planting plan and a clearer understanding of how to think about planting design.

Synopsis
Info: How do professionals design a planting plan?
This three-part, hands-on workshop series guides you step by step through creating your own planting plan, whether for a border or an entire garden.
No prior design experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to take part.
By the end of the series, you will:
• Understand how to read the conditions of a space
• Know how to create structure with plants
• Confidently select plants for seasonal interest
• Understand how professionals think about planting combinations
• Leave with your own completed planting plan
How it works:
The workshops are practical, participatory, and intentionally small.
Each session builds on the last, with a short piece of optional homework at the end of weeks 1 and 2 (around one hour each) to help you apply what you’ve learned.
There will be plenty of time for discussion, questions, and shared ideas throughout.
