We're kicking off our 2026-27 season with a Score-O at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve in Plano to celebrate National Orienteering Week.
Pre-registration is open now: https://ntoa.com/plano-score-o-national-o-week-2026/
The Score-O format lets you collect any control points you choose in any order you want. There’s no preset course to follow and so no penalty for missed points, just credit for those you find. But watch your time. Overtime penalties can pile up fast!
Onsite registration and check-in opens at 8:00 a.m.
Free beginners clinic is at 8:20 a.m.
Mass Start will be at 9:00 AM -- the Short course will be limited to 1 hour and the Long course to 2 hours.
Race fees: $20 for non-member adults; $13 for NTOA member adults, and $8 for youth age 19 and under.
BTW, did you know that this is Plano’s largest park? It's just over 800-acres and has a trail network that traverses a variety of terrain, from mowed fields, to deep woods, to blackland prairies. Very beginner friendly! So bring some friendly beginners with you!
