📝 About the Event
A Pokémon League Challenge is an official, entry-level tournament where players can test their skills, earn Championship Points (CP), and begin their journey toward qualifying for the Pokémon World Championships. These events use the Standard format and feature Swiss rounds (no elimination), making them perfect for both newer competitive players and experienced trainers looking to climb the leaderboard. Players are divided into age divisions (Junior, Senior, Master), and decklists are required to ensure fair play.
League Challenges are run by certified organizers and reported through Play! Pokémon’s systems, meaning your results count toward global rankings and Worlds invites. With a welcoming environment and accessible stakes, they’re a great way to dip into the competitive scene, meet fellow players, and earn exclusive prizing like booster packs and promotional cards. Whether you’re aiming to become a top-tier battler or just want to enjoy a fun, structured tournament—League Challenges are your first step.
What Is the Standard Format?
The Standard format is the official competitive format used in events like League Challenges, League Cups, and Regional Championships. It includes only the most recent sets, ensuring a fresh and balanced metagame.
