A gift to the campus and community in celebration of Pittsburg's 150th birthday, this concert will continue the PSU Wind Ensemble's “Roots to Branches” season theme. The roots: selections that were on the program for the very first “College Band” concert in 1947!
The branches: two world premieres — the Pittsburg 150 composition by Professor John Ross with poetry by Professor Laura Washburn, and a commission by composer Jennifer Rose.
It will feature performances by the PSU Wind Ensemble, the SEK Symphony, and the University Choirs.
