Plant lovers – this workshop is for you!Have you heard about Pinguiculas (aka: Pings or Butterworts)? They are adorable, succulent-like carnivorous plants that attract and digest small insects like fruit flies and fungus gnats. Not only are these adorable little plants helpful near produce bowls or in plant cabinets, but they reward their humans with beautiful flowers and sun-stressed, glittery leaves. Tropical Pinguiculas are beginner-friendly carnivorous plants, often found growing on the side of a cliff.
Curious what a Pingdom is? It’s an artistic way to grow and display Pinguiculas “royal” beauty. We start with a pretty container (bowl), add water-wicking rock(s) and some Pinguicula-loving substrate, and then place the Pinguiculas on the crown.
During the workshop, attendees will also learn tips and tricks to successfully grow Pinguiculas in their own and receive access to additional resources
$50/person, which includes the workshop class and a Pingdom Kit (bowl, rock, 3 Pings (hand-selected by the grower), and access to the necessary tools to create your masterpiece).
Advance registration and payment are required.
