Margaret Stump, local weaver and author of three books on pin loom weaving, will be leading a four part pin loom weaving workshop at the Carnegie! Pin loom weaving uses a small, portable frame to quickly create woven squares of cloth. The class will begin with the process of weaving on a pin loom so that participants will walk away from the first session with their own finished project, a "Flat Rat" bookmark. Over the following sessions, participants will focus on the various skills and techniques needed to create woven scarves, hats, baby blankets or an incredible variety of other possible projects. The class will build toward a final project, an Eclectic Art Bag during the fourth session.
Sept. Oct. 8, 15, 22, and 29. All materials provided! $85/member, $100/non-member.
