A long-time recording artist on Compass Records (Nashville), Pierce is widely respected as a true songwriter’s songwriter. His songs have been recorded by legends including Art Garfunkel, Joan Baez, Garth Brooks, Dion, Tim O'Brien, and Claire Lynch.
He emerged from the same influential folk era that introduced artists like Suzanne Vega and Shawn Colvin, and his live performances blend masterful songwriting, Southern storytelling, thoughtful humor, and the kind of audience connection that only comes from decades on stage.
