Please join KarmaSue for its final counseling workshop of 2026. This workshop is specifically designed for those grieving the transition of their companion animals, enduring compassion fatigue, or navigating anticipatory grief while caring for a sick pet. KarmaSue will offer a safe space void of judgement to share stories, emotions, and thoughts about your cancer journeys during this time of the year.

This workshop offers a compassionate, two-part space for families navigating companion animal cancer and loss.

The first segment features an open sharing circle led by Britton Slagle, an end-of-life doula for companion animals. Together, we will discuss end-of-life care and navigate the complexities of anticipatory.

In the second portion, we will transition into a hands-on therapeutic activity using Kintsugi—the centuries-old Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. By experiencing the physical release of breaking, the mindfulness of mending, and the beauty of honoring our grief in community, you will create a tangible keepsake. By piecing your creation back together, you are symbolically honoring your journey—acknowledging that while you may feel changed or cracked by loss, the love you hold makes you whole, beautiful, and resilient.

Please RSVP by Friday, November 27th so that we can plan for your presence.

This workshop is free of charge for those enduring companion animal cancer and/or those wanting to strengthen their human-animal connection.

Please note that we intentionally keep these counseling workshops small to ensure we provide a safe space for those that participate. Please register now to reserve your space.
