About this Event
Join us for a culinary demo and tasting in support of recovery and resilience, part of the Pieces of Us: The Art of Recovery and Resilience community mental health art exhibition presented by Coyote TaskForce and Catalyst Creative Collective!
The third and final workshop in a series of three, Chef Kevin Powers of our own Café 54 restaurant and job training program will engage participants in an interactive culinary demo and tasting, with an emphasis on sensory activation and the importance of cooking as self care for recovery and well being.
Check out our other workshops in this series at ctftucson.org/pieces-of-us or find them on Eventbrite under the Coyote TaskForce organizer profile.
More about Kevin:
Kevin Powers was born with a set of knives in his hand. Starting in kitchens at age 14, he learned to discern cooking styles and flavors for a variety of palates. He’s been with Café 54 since 2018 and finds working there fulfilling and challenging. “The most rewarding part of my job is seeing what we do for people. Seeing our trainees learn and grow and succeed. I take a very hands on approach in our kitchen, trying to make delicious food. I love the idea of kicked-up comfort food. I hope if you eat at Café 54 or at one of our caterings, you find yourself well fed and happy.” JH
