About this Event
Dear hikers, this time we're heading to Cumbres del Ajusco National Park to reach a new milestone.
La Cruz del Marqués on the Ajusco volcano is the highest peak in CDMX, with an elevation of 3,930 meters (12,894 feet). It has one of the finest views over the whole of Mexico City right from a tropical alpine tundra.
This is a loop hike!
When?
October 18 (Sunday)
Starts at 8:30 AM
Meeting spot: in front of Monumento de "El Sereno" (Insurgentes, Chapultepec, Juárez, Cuauhtémoc)
Detailed plan:
8:30 - Meeting in front of El Sereno monument
8:45 - Departure from Insurgentes to San Miguel Ajusco
11:00 - Arriving to the trailhead
11:15 - Start hiking
13:45 - Lunch by the Aguila peak
14:05 - Continue hiking
14:45 - Reaching the peak of Cerro La Cruz del Marquez
17:00 - Arriving back to trailhead and taking bus back to the city
19:15 - Arriving to CDMX

About 10.4km (expect for full day)
Total elevation: 910m (please keep this into consideration as this hike is NOT for rookies)
Please don't come late as the bus and bus will NOT wait for you.
Please bring enough water and food for 7 hours.
We do not recommend you to swim at lakes and rivers.
