Twenty years after the 2006 Park Heights Master Plan was adopted, Park Heights Renaissance is bringing people, partnerships, lessons, challenges, and the impact of our community transformation journey into one room for the first time.
The inaugural PHR Impact Summit is more than a conference. It is a learning experience, a call to collaboration, and an opportunity to examine what it truly takes to transform communities. Attendees will explore how the Collective Impact Model moves from theory to practice, how interconnected systems can address the conditions that create and sustain childhood poverty, and how residents, nonprofits, government, philanthropy, and businesses can work together to expand economic mobility and create lasting change.
Attendees will leave with practical insights, meaningful connections, and strategies they can apply within their organizations and in communities seeking sustainable, positive outcomes.

What to Expect
A full day of candid conversations, interactive learning, meaningful connections, and practical insights grounded in 20 years of community transformation in Park Heights.
Residents, practitioners, funders, government leaders, businesses, institutions, developers, and other stakeholders will come together to:
- Examine what worked, what did not, and what the evidence reveals about sustaining community transformation.
- Explore PHR’s Collective Impact and Community Quarterback models, including how shared goals, coordinated action, and backbone leadership move priorities forward.
- Identify strategies for improving outcomes for children, families, neighborhoods, and the built environment.
- Mobilize the partnerships, resources, and investment needed for the next phase of transformation.
- Connect over a continental breakfast, lunch buffet, and cocktail reception.

The Story Behind the Summit
20 years ago, the Park Heights Master Plan articulated a shared vision for the future of the Park Heights community. Developed with significant resident input, the plan was intended to serve as a roadmap for long-term community revitalization.
Since then, advancing that vision has required sustained collaboration among residents, community leaders, government, institutions, funders, businesses, and organizations committed to economic opportunity and mobility in Park Heights.
The journey has brought progress, lessons, challenges, changing conditions, new partnerships, and a deeper understanding of what it takes to move a comprehensive community vision from planning to implementation.
Today, Park Heights Renaissance serves as the Community Quarterback, connecting resident priorities with the partners, resources, leadership, and investment needed to move the vision forward.
The inaugural PHR Impact Summit creates a space to reflect on the journey, share what the work has taught us, and mobilize what is needed for the next chapter.
