What happens to our sense of identity when technology begins to shape the way we see, remember and understand the world?

Join photographer and artist Miguel Ângelo in conversation with Jamie Apostolou, for an intimate discussion exploring photography, artificial intelligence, memory and the future of human experience.

At the centre of the conversation is Miguel’s ongoing artistic research into AI and society - a visual exploration of how emerging technologies may influence our culture, behaviours, relationships and understanding of ourselves.

The conversation will also explore Tempo Suspenso, where ice becomes a time capsule for personal memory. Everyday objects are frozen to preserve moments that speak to loss, memory and our desire to hold on to what time takes away.

From artificial intelligence to melting ice, Miguel’s work asks us to consider the same fundamental question:

What do we choose to preserve, what do we risk losing, and how might technology change the way we remember ourselves?

A conversa irá também abordar Tempo Suspenso, onde o gelo se transforma numa cápsula do tempo para a memória pessoal. Objetos do quotidiano são congelados para preservar momentos que evocam a perda, a memória e o nosso desejo de conservar aquilo que o tempo inevitavelmente leva.
