Grab your pals, grab a drink, and get ready to learn some soulful bangers in just one evening!
Have you ever wanted to feel the joy of being part of a huge soul & gospel choir? This is your chance - all you need to do is bring yourself!
What: A couple hundred people in one room, led by Kat Brooks (director of The Phoenix Choir), accompanied by a live band. We'll get warm and then learn a whole song piece by piece - everything is taught by ear so you don't need any experience and there won't be any sheet music! You don't need any prep and there's no commitment, just get ready to belt out a soulful song - Phoenix style! (Which means big energy, a big fun!)
One & Done: This "one & done" is designed to be exactly that - one session, and we've done a whole song! (Two if we're feeling ambitious!)
When: Arrive at 7pm, we'll get going shortly after
Where: La Belle Angele (yes there is a bar!)
Who: You!
This is for all levels - whether you're a seasoned pro, a closet shower singer, or you haven't sung since school. You're all welcome, and you're bound to have a great time!

There are 4 Phoenix Choirs which meet regularly through term time:
Leith, Carers & Central Community Choirs [no auditions] and the Soul Choir [auditioned]
The choirs meet each week and learn soulful songs, working towards a concert at the end of the term - in June we performed in The Usher Hall!
Leith - Mondays 7-9pm Biscuit Factory
Carers - Tuesdays 10am-12pm Broughton St Marys Church
Central - Thursdays 6-8pm Kings Hall, Newington
Soul Choir - Wednesdays 7-9pm St Columbas by the Castle [auditioned]
Unfortunately our Leith & Central Choirs are both full (!) so we're hosting a series of "one & done" sessions for people who want to come and sing with us, until we can start another regular choir in January!
