Dive into the history of early image projection through a presentation on the history of magic lanterns and enjoy a Victorian era phantasmagoria show - including footage from slides made in the 1800s!
Phantasmagoria is an early version of horror theatre; experience delightful and scary vintage animations and try your hand at making your own projector slides.
Accessibility Note: This show may not be suitable for those sensitive to flashing lights.
Fridays, October 9th & 16th from 6 PM - 8:30 PM
Ages 12+ (screening includes fantasy horror, parental discretion is advised)

Mackin House Museum (operated by Coquitlam Heritage Society) is a museum based out of a 1909 Heritage House originally belonging to the Sales Manager of the Fraser Mill. The house now serves as a community event space, hosts exhibits, and generally works to share the joint culture and history of the diverse city of Coquitlam.
