You are invited to join the celebrations for Peterborough’s 150 years weekend-long event to be held on the 2026 October long weekend (Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th).Planning is currently underway for various displays in the Town hall, with the hall also acting as a central hub for information and a place for people to gather and catch up.
Saturday starts with an official opening by Mayor Ruth Whittle OAM, a street party type event with market stalls, local and out of town food vendors, old fashioned games, music, and a PUMPS car display and Holden Car display. This will be followed by a ticketed Gala dinner on Saturday evening with entertainment and a local history book launch. A booking link for the gala dinner has now been posted.
Sunday’s events involve a tree planting event, Dawson Hall open for viewing and brunch, the Peterborough Miniature Rail running, afternoon tea and roll a bowl at the Peterborough Bowls club and self-guided cemetery tours with more still being planned!
