Coastal Carolina University's Department of Theatre presents its MainStage Season playPETER AND THE STARCATCHER
Peter and the Starcatcher is a 2012 Tony Award-winning reimagining of Peter Pan and the origin story of the Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up. With pirates, peril, and a trunk full of celestial “starstuff,” Rick Elice’s play, based on the 2004 book by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, transforms a dozen actors into more than 100 characters. When an orphaned boy meets Molly, a young Starcatcher-in-training, their world launches into a race against the fearsome Black Stache. Directed by Ben Sota, associate professor, and featuring music direction by Michelle Pedersen, teaching associate in the theatre and music departments.
