Our first concert of the 2026-2027 season! In this 250th anniversary year, join us as we highlight America’s long tradition of providing a home for global creativity: Along with music by American composer Morten Lauridsen, hear works by composers who emigrated to or lived in the United States for extended periods.
Music by artists from Europe, Asia, Australia, and Canada will frame Lauridsen's first major choral cycle, the gorgeous Mid-Winter Songs.
Dr. Rick Hoffenberg, Guest Music Director, and Tsukasa Waltich, Collaborative Pianist, lead us in this radiant program, which also includes pieces such as Choi's "Lux Aeterna," Gjeilo's "Across the Vast, Eternal Sky," Dunphy's "Halcyon Days," and Alcala's "I Am Here With You Always" – music that celebrates and reflects on the cycles inherent to our shared humanity.
