Join us for a relaxing midweek music break during the sixth season of Music in the Courtyard, a free concert series in the beautiful Historic Pima County Courthouse Courtyard.Presented in partnership with Art State Arizona, Pima County Attractions & Tourism, Visit Tucson and the Tucson Folk Festival, this live music series brings local talent to the heart of downtown Tucson - perfect for a midday break, lunch outing, or cultural escape in your workday. Featuring a rotating lineup of Tucson Folk Festival artists and regional performers.
Permafrost Road Bluegrass Band formed in 2022 when three Alaskan musicians came together in Tucson. After lineup changes, the group expanded to include upright bass, mandolin, and banjo players. They have performed at the Desert Bluegrass Festival in Marana (2025), Casa Grande Bluegrass Festival (2023), and twice at the Gaslight Music Hall in Oro Valley, along with multiple appearances at Charron Winery and other local venues. The band provides its own sound system and continues to share bluegrass music throughout the region.
