About this Event
Kids design their own set of coasters one tiny bead at a time, picking colors and patterns from pixel art to rainbows to whatever they dream up. We handle the ironing, they handle the imagination. It is great practice for steady hands and big ideas. Everyone goes home with a finished set the whole family will actually use.

About the instructor: Christin Guthrie Smiertka
I’m a pet portrait artist who loves painting and drawing, and I especially love helping kids discover their creativity through art. I’ve loved art my whole life! I’m originally from Virginia, where I studied Art History, and have called Delaware home for over 10 years. I also run my own Etsy shop. My classes are fun, encouraging, and sometimes messy! My background as a paraprofessional inspired my love of working with kids, and I want every artist to feel confident.
This organization is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on DelawareScene.com
