About this Event
The Early Dance Festival is a yearly celebration of historic dance groups around the country and this year (for the first time ever) it will be held in York. I would love an opportunity to showcase what we do in our classes and put a group forward to perform. We would be performing in the afternoon festival (one block of performance around 15-20 minutes) and we can choose the period we wish to display (although it will probably be Regency).
There are several other events you can attend as part of the Festival over the weekend. Please do not pay again for the Saturday Afternoon Festival (the fee is included in the associated cost below and I will submit us all as one group and pay).
Rehearsal Dates: Sunday 4th October, Sunday 11th October, Sunday 18th October (Afternoons at Theatre@41, Monkgate, York)
Show Dates: Saturday 31st October- Early Dance Festival, St Peter's School, York [Morning rehearsal]
Requirements: Costume TBD (we will help you out if you need one)
Cost: £33 for all sessions and Festival fee
Also includes: Enjoy watching the rest of the Festival Afternoon for free
Minimum Number Required: 6 people
There is a small associated fee for the performance group to help cover the cost of the rehearsal rooms. You will need a costume but we will help provide one if you do not have anything suitable yourself. Ideally you would be able to attend all of the rehearsal dates but please let Lottie know if there is a problem.
If you are interested please sign up asap so we can make sure we have the required numbers. Ticket date is the first date of rehearsals- please make a note of all other dates.
