Dans le cadre de l’exposition ???? ????, venez observez les nuages, le ciel et le vent lors d’une performance immersive des Sœurs de l’Ordre céleste de la Néphologie, un ordre religieux fictif de deux nonnes atmosphériques menée par Horizon Factory.
Inspiré par la compositrice expérimentale Pauline Oliveros (1932–2016) et ses pratiques de méditation sonore et d’écoute profonde, le concept de deep gazing, ou de « regard profond », développé par les Sœurs conjugue l’observation et l’identification des nuages à la prévision du futur, alliant environnement et spiritualité de façon à explorer la météo comme système relationnel, offrant des outils pour cultiver des liens intimes et personnels avec le climat, la communauté et les lieux. Alors que Pauline Oliveros pose la question « que signifie écouter ? », les Sœurs demandent ce que signifie regarder.

As part of the exhibition ???? ????, come learn to interpret the clouds, the sky and the wind in an immersive performance of The Sisters of the Celestial Order of Nephology, a fictional community of two blue-clad nuns led by Horizon Factory.
Inspired by experimental composer Pauline Oliveros (1932–2016) and her practices of sound meditation and deep listening, the concept of “deep gazing” developed by the Sisters combines the observation and identification of clouds with the prediction of the future, blending environment and spirituality to explore the weather as a relational system, offering tools to cultivate intimate and personal connections with the climate, the community, and places. While Pauline Oliveros asks, “What does it mean to listen?”, the Sisters ask what it means to look.
