After three weeks of living, working, experimenting and developing ideas together, artists from Ukraine and Finland will present the results of the School of Political Performance × New Performance Turku residency.
The residency brought together Oleksandr Halishchuk, Katri Kainulainen and Maximilian Latva, Tetiana Kornieieva, Maria Kulikovska, Moe Mustafa, Stanislava Ovchynnikova, Onur Tayranoglu and AntiGonna.
Throughout the programme, the participants combined individual and collective artistic work with workshops, mentoring sessions, curatorial conversations and visits to cultural institutions and artistic communities in and around Turku. Together, they explored questions of body and agency, visibility and representation, borders and belonging, political imagination, collective practice and the conditions in which artistic work is created and sustained.
Join us to meet the artists and curators, discover the practices that emerged through collective work, and spend the evening together over performance and pizza.
