About this Event
This workshop is led by an acclaimed artist and teacher, Kaitlin Zorah McDonough. In this painting workshop, participants will engage with strategies to expand their perceptual capacity through the self-sensory system – attuning and projecting – into each painting. We will work from direct observation of the space and through special emphasis of our distinct senses – directed inward and directed externally – to access new modes of painting and organizing images. Our space will include an open plan still life, and in the afternoon we will be joined by a live model. Personalized individual and group feedback will integrate discoveries and anchor the day’s experiences into pathways forward. This workshop can be attended as a single-session or in tandem with PERCEPTUAL PAINTING: Field Activation.
