About this Event
Event Description: We will start our bike ride from the Visitor's Center parking lot and then pedal approximately 10-miles over gravel and dirt roads, while exploring some of the different habitats found in our 2,700+ acre preserve. Along the way, we will stop to observe wildlife and visit our friendly herd of 200 cattle, as well as learn about the history of Pepper Ranch and Conservation Collier land management practices.
The tour will take approximately 3+ hours. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and must be physically able to bike about 10 mph for nine miles.
The 1-mile hike will take us on one of the many hiking trails into the preserve and will include sections of forest and open land. This will bring us to one of the most remote areas of the preserve, miles away from the nearest road, and into the heart of the Pepper Ranch Preserve.
