About this Event
Event Description: Explore Pepper Ranch Preserve after dark on a guided hike in search of nocturnal wildlife, insects, and fireflies! As we make our way along the trail, we’ll slow down to listen for owls, look for creatures that become active after sunset, and discuss how wildlife uses the preserve at night. Along the way, we’ll visit a mothing station to observe moths and other insects attracted to light and learn about their roles in the ecosystem. We’ll also explore open areas of the preserve for stargazing and take a closer look at the nighttime sky. Come experience the sights and sounds of Pepper Ranch after sunset!
