Join DFW Metro NAACP, Westside Baptist Church, and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas for The People's Legal Clinic & Justice 360, a monthly community initiative connecting residents with free legal services, trusted information, community resources, and opportunities for education, advocacy, and empowerment.
THE PEOPLE'S LEGAL CLINIC
Need legal assistance or have questions about your rights?
Community members will have access to FREE legal services provided by Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas.
Individuals seeking legal assistance are encouraged to register in advance to receive information about available services and resources.
JUSTICE 360 COMMUNITY FORUM
This month's featured discussion:
Understanding ARD Meetings, IEPs & 504 Plans
Navigating special education can be overwhelming. Parents and caregivers should not have to navigate the process without information and resources.
Parents, caregivers, educators, students, advocates, and community members are invited to join us for an informative conversation about special education services, student rights, and how families can effectively advocate for the educational support their children need.
Topics will include:
• Understanding the ARD and IEP process
• The difference between IEPs and 504 Plans
• Parent and student rights
• Accommodations and educational supports
• Preparing for and participating in ARD meetings
• Questions parents should consider asking
• Advocating effectively for your child
• Resources and assistance available to families
FREE COMMUNITY FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Westside Baptist Church will also host its community food distribution during the event. Attendees and community members are welcome to take advantage of available food and resources.

Voter registration information and additional community resources will also be available.
