About this Event
You are invited to attend a screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing
The University will be hosting two free screenings of the People’s Emergency Briefing, an eye-opening film based on the National Emergency Briefing presented to policymakers in Westminster. The screenings offer an opportunity to hear the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis, reflect on its implications for everyday life, and take part in local discussions about possible responses.
For this screening, Exeter’s own Professor Tim Lenton, a key contributor to the project, will open with a few remarks. He is one of nine leading UK scientists and experts sharing the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis, and what it means for everyday life across the UK.
The film will take us through:
- extreme weather
- food security
- health
- cost of living
Based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster, as covered by ITV, C4, and the Times.
There will be time for discussion afterwards as we consider what the evidence means locally.
Featuring Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, surprise guests, and a wide range of Brits.
Please note: The film is only being shown at in-person screenings, not online. Bring a friend or neighbour.
