In September we are partnering with Ballyhaunis Community Council to bring a community screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing film #PEBie #PEBukWhat’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life?
Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:
🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living
The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices.
It is the first screening (we hope of many) in the West of Ireland, after having been shown in Wicklow, Dublin, Cork and Belfast earlier this year. https://www.nebriefing.org/screening-map
After the film there will be a short open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally.

Bring a friend, neighbour or family member (don’t forget to book tickets for them though): everyone is welcome.
With over 2500 screenings in the UK so far, to packed halls and cinemas, the message is getting out there. This is another way to add pressure to decision makers and policy makers to Act Now.
The aim of this is to force governments to hold national announcements on the Climate Crisis, stating clearly where we are at and what is being done about it, in the same way as was done during Covid.
