This is a FREE event and ticket only. What happens when ordinary people are given the facts about climate change, nature loss, rising food prices, extreme weather and flooding—and the chance to talk about what it all means? The People’s Emergency Briefing explores exactly that.
Following the format of the popular Gogglebox television show, this thought-provoking 50-minute film invites audiences to watch alongside a diverse range of people from across the UK as they react to excerpts from expert briefings that were originally presented to MPs and influential decision-makers. Hosted by naturalist and broadcaster Chris Packham, the film captures honest reactions, questions and conversations about some of the most pressing challenges facing society today.
The film connects the dots between climate change, nature loss and their impacts on everyday life, while also highlighting practical solutions and positive actions that can be taken. Rather than leaving audiences feeling overwhelmed, it offers hope, inspiration and a sense of collective responsibility.
After the screening, audiences are invited to take part in discussion, providing an opportunity to share reactions, exchange ideas and explore what individuals and communities can do next. Whether you’re deeply engaged with environmental issues or simply curious to learn more, this event offers a welcoming space for conversation, reflection and action.
Please note: Spaces are limited and the event is recommended for ages 16+.
