PENDLE HILL — WHERE THE LAND STILL REMEMBERS
Walk in the footsteps of the accused. Visit the places connected to their lives. Investigate the locations where unexplained activity continues to be reported more than four centuries later.
In 1612, twelve people from the communities surrounding Pendle Hill were accused of witchcraft and murder. One died while imprisoned, one was acquitted and ten were executed—nine at Lancaster and one at York.
Their story became one of the most infamous witch trials in English history.
The accusations tore through families and communities, fuelled by fear, poverty, superstition and bitter rivalries. Accounts told of curses, clay figures, illness, strange powers and supposed dealings with dark forces.
More than 400 years later, Pendle Hill remains surrounded by mystery.
Visitors have reported fleeting shadow figures, unexplained voices, sudden changes in atmosphere, intense emotion and the sensation of being watched or touched when nobody is there.
For one weekend, our small group will immerse itself in Pendle’s history, folklore and reported paranormal activity.
YOUR JOURNEY INTO PENDLE
Arrive at 12pm on Friday to settle into the accommodation, meet the group and prepare for the weekend ahead.
Across Friday and Saturday, we will trace the story of the Pendle Witches through the landscape in which it unfolded.

Investigate after darkness falls, when shadow figures, unexplained sounds and sudden atmospheric changes are most frequently reported.

Bring your own paranormal equipment or work with the equipment available during the weekend.
This is not a staged scare attraction. It is an intimate historical and paranormal experience conducted within a small group, allowing us to spend meaningful time at each location and respond to whatever unfolds.

⚠️ Please expect outdoor walking, uneven ground, darkness, winter weather and emotionally intense locations. Suitable clothing, sturdy footwear and a torch will be essential.
