About this Event
This is a beginner-level introduction to pen and ink drawing, intended to quickly introduce participants to shading techniques, such as hatching and stipling. Basic instruction on secondary topics such as light source, line weight, and texture libraries will also be touched upon. Additional time is alotted at the end of the workshop for questions and further guidance.
Artists of all levels are welcome to join! This is an opportunity to better understand the role of light and ways to suggest form through shadow. Little to no experience is required as participants will not be asked to contour draw or utilize perspective tools. This is a relaxed, low pressure environment to explore a suprisingly expressive and personal medium!
Participants will be expected to bring their own supplies. Limited tools and materials may be provided based on need. Please contact me at [email protected] with any questions.
