🎃 Peek-a-Boooook! is back! 👻📚After the wonderful response to last year’s event — and the many children’s books we were able to rescue from landfill and give a new home — we’re so happy to keep this little Halloween tradition alive for a second year! 💛
This Halloween, we’re bringing together trick-or-treating, books, sustainability and a little bit of spooky fun for the children in our community.
🍭 What’s happening?
🍬 Free lollies for kids — because Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without a little treat!
📚 A FREE children’s book for every child — every book has been rescued from people who no longer wanted it and given a second chance at being loved, read and enjoyed, rather than ending up in landfill.
📖 Encouraging little readers — we hope to inspire children to rediscover the joy and magic of books, stories and imagination, and spend a little less time with screens.
🧁 Charity Bake Sale — alongside the free treats, we’ll have a selection of homemade Halloween goodies available to purchase. All proceeds will support our environmental charity and help us continue the work we do in our community — from sustainability education and workshops to clean-ups, waste reduction and other environmental initiatives. 🌱
Our aim is simple: a Halloween that is fun for kids, kind to the planet, and gives something back to the community. 🧡🖤💜
🛍️ Bring: A small bag to carry your treats and your new-to-you book!
👻 Come along, dress up, grab a treat, choose a book and help us make Halloween a little more sustainable 📚🎃
Please feel free to share this event with local families and friends — the more little readers we can reach, the better!
