The race offers several highlights, starting with the venue itself. The trail network, which spans the Crystal Mountain property and adjacent state land, offers some of Michigan’s most enjoyable riding experiences. The hardwood and pine forests, along with winding two-track and flowing single-track trails, create an exhilarating racing experience. The course is designed to be fast, challenging, yet accessible for newcomers to the sport.
Additionally, the pre-race and post-race activities at the Mountain are always enjoyable. While adults often indulge in post-race drinks, the overall atmosphere remains family friendly. The timing also adds to the appeal: pleasant temperatures and stunning fall colors make it perfect for spirited competition and family fun.
