A free session for Manchester families with practical tools to take away. Childcare provided. Co-hosted by Peace Path Communities & CARISMA.
About this Event

Peace in Manchester begins at home.

Most of the conflict that ends up in front of schools, services and the police starts at home, in arguments that don't get resolved and relationships that slowly wear down. Most of the help available to families arrives after the harm has been done. The Peaceful Families Project offers families something earlier: free sessions where they can learn to handle conflict before it escalates.

This is the first of three monthly sessions. It focuses on communication: how to say what you mean, how to really hear each other, and how to keep hard conversations from turning into arguments. You'll leave with a short, practical toolkit to try at home before the next session.

Who it's for

About the project
The Peaceful Families Project is led by Peace Path Communities and IPYG (International Peace Youth Group), in partnership with CARISMA and the Safer Communities Project. Sessions draw on an internationally used peace education curriculum, adapted for family life in the UK.

Please note
These sessions are not a crisis or clinical service and don't replace statutory safeguarding. If your family needs more support than the sessions can offer, we'll connect you with local organisations that can help, including Peace Path Communities' Forgotten Minds Project.
