Audition information for Pickerington Community Theatre’s winter production of “Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express" (unpaid, non-union).ABOUT THE SHOW:
Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, the passengers rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer – in case he or she decides to strike again.
Friday and Saturday auditions will be held at Epiphany Lutheran Church located at 268 Hill Road N, Pickerington, OH 43147.
If callbacks are needed, they will be held Sunday at Epiphany Lutheran Church.
Character descriptions and the audition sheet will be available closer to auditions for download at pctshows.com. While the show is set in the winter of the early 1930s, individuals of all races, sexes, and identities are encouraged to audition.
Please choose one of the following audition dates:
Friday, September 25th 7:00pm – 10:00pm
Saturday, September 26th 10:00a.m. - 1:00p.m.
Sunday, September 27th 2:00p.m. - 5p.m. for callbacks as needed
Auditions are open to actors 18 years old and older.
Performance Dates at the Violet Township Community Theater at the Wigwam Event Center:
December 4 - December 13
The production will be directed by Coreen Janetzke
THE AUDITION PROCESS:
You will be asked to fill out an audition form. You may attach a resume and picture if you wish (it is not required). Please bring a calendar that includes conflicts.
You will have your picture taken and a number will be assigned to you.
Auditions: Auditions will consist of a cold reading from the script.
The final cast list will be sent via email by Wednesday night, September 30th and posted on our website.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will be held Friday evenings, Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons. ALL cast members MUST attend the first rehearsal to receive your materials, take costume measurements, and complete any paperwork.
Tech Week (Sunday through Thursday before Opening Night) will include weeknight rehearsals.
