About this Event
The Payback Exchange is coming to Lichfield
Our fourth Payback Exchange is at the Garrick’s brand new Creative Hub on Wade Street. It’s a space built for community and creativity, so it felt like the right home for this one. A big thank you to Matt Clay and the team at the Garrick for having us.
What to expect
- Every charity, care provider, school and community organisation gets one minute to share what they do and what help they need right now
- Businesses get a minute too: who you are and how you’d like to support local organisations (and if you’re not sure yet, that’s fine, coming along to find out is the point)
- Time afterwards to talk, swap details and follow up on anything that caught your ear
This isn’t a room for selling to charities. The businesses come to give, whether that’s time, skills, expertise or money.
Does it work? Yes.
At our first event, Hobb IT met Caudwell Children. They’ve since volunteered with them and hosted their 30th anniversary charity silent auction in support of the charity.
At Rugeley, Zephi met the founder of For A Child’s Heart and went on to build them a brand new website.
Neither of those started with a cheque. They started with a conversation.
Our last event at Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce had 37 people in the room. Let’s make Lichfield bigger.
Who should come
- Charities, care providers, schools and community groups looking for support
- Local businesses wanting to do more for their community, whether that’s charity of the year, volunteering, skills or donations
