Stop in to The Birdwatchers Store anytime between 11am-2pm on Saturday, October 3rd to help us celebrate the season for North America's largest native fruit, the pawpaw!! These delicious fruits have a small window of being ripe but are absolutely delicious! They are described as a cross between a banana and a mango with a custard "vibe". We will have pawpaws here for you to taste, seeds you can take home to plant, we will have raffle drawings for prizes including saplings, and will have lots of free information about the plant, fruit, starting a pawpaw patch of your own, and the zebra swallowtail butterfly (the pawpaw tree is their host plant!). This is a FREE event open to all ages! All pawpaws we will be tasting were grown organically in Mercer, PA. We hope to see you here! Call 724-794-2473 with any questions.
