PAUSE grew from a pause in my own practice — a decision to stop, question familiar habits and look again at why and how I paint. That same act of looking runs through these works. Familiar landscapes are interrupted by light, weather, memory or human presence, creating moments when something known shifts and asks to be seen again.
PAUSE is less about stillness than the value of stopping long enough to notice change — and perhaps to recognise what was already there.
