Singer-songwriter Paul Woolner brings his own original music to the evening, blending Americana, roots, blues, and rock with thoughtful storytelling and influences ranging from Bruce Cockburn and John Hiatt to Jack Johnson and Daniel Lanois. His songs will be woven throughout the night, including music from his forthcoming album, Memory Like Water.
Easy Tiger, featuring Paul Woolner, Joel Kopel, Michael Balfe, Jayar LaFontaine, and Gary Diggins, draws from a century of great music. Their eclectic repertoire moves easily between favourites and deep cuts from artists including Sly & The Family Stone, Bill Withers, Paul Butterfield, Jimmy Cliff, A.P. Carter, The Replacements, Grateful Dead, Bragg/Tweedy, Slim Harpo, Furry Lewis, The Neville Brothers, Van Morrison, and more.
Together, Paul Woolner & Easy Tiger offer an evening of original songs, familiar favourites, unexpected gems, and plenty of grooves to get you moving.
