About this Event
On Tuesday 1st of December from 6pm (for a 6:30pm start), please join us over a glass of wine at the Potts Point Bookshop to hear Paul Bangay talk about his new book
For decades, Paul Bangay has looked to the great gardens of England for inspiration - their structure and grandeur shaping his own work. This new book is the diary of discovering a cottage in the Cotswolds ready for reinvention. What follows in the story of a new beginning: reimagining boundaries, planting hedges and perennials, experimenting with structure and softness, and discovering, season by season, what thrives, what falters and what surprises.
Rich with observation, wit and practical insight, A Diary of an English Garden is a homage to England’s gardening heritage.
Richard Unsworth is a garden designer at Studio U.C, writer and the owner of outdoor design store Garden Life based in Sydney. He has contributed to the garden pages of both Belle and Good Weekend magazines. Passionate about the natural environment, he spends his free time restoring the garden at his heritage home in Pittwater. He has written three books: Garden Life, The City Gardener and The Natural Gardener.
