These friendly sessions are led by Stephanie from Zacco UK, a European Patent Attorney with over ten years of experience in UK and European patent practice. Since joining Zacco in 2022, Stephanie has supported innovators, entrepreneurs and small businesses in navigating the world of intellectual property.
Whether you're exploring a new idea or developing a product, the clinic offers an opportunity for an initial discussion about patents, registered designs, timelines, and typical costs involved in securing IP protection.
About Stephanie Thomas
Stephanie has been a member of the Zacco UK team since early 2023. She is a European Patent Attorney with over ten years of experience in both UK and European patent practice. Stephanie holds a Masters in Physics from the University of Birmingham. Much like her degree which spanned a broad technical spectrum, from atomic physics to astrophysics, she has drafted and prosecuted patent applications across a wide range of technologies, from everyday household solutions (such as a novel zipper) to more high tech inventions including IoT and digital communications, software-implemented inventions including machine learning, as well as laser propulsion and even a jet pack.
Stephanie works with clients locally, based in the West Midlands, as well as multinational corporations and her favourite part about the role is diving into a new area of technology to learn from an inventor about their proud achievements.
Stephanie is also a member of Zacco’s Design team, with focus on UK Registered Design filings.
