About this Event
This event will be hosted by Holly Doswell, James Tucker and guest speakers Esther Gardner (senior EP), Lucy Brookes and the Dorset Mental health in Schools Support Team (MHST).
The day will look at how build on a culture of belonging, deepen thinking and understanding of Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), strengthen the bridge between school staff and families, and promote early intervention approaches.
Desired outcomes:
- Develop an understanding of EBSA.
- Increase confidence in supporting children and young people experiencing EBSA.
- Strengthen collaborative practice between schools, families and external agencies.
- Identify practical actions that can be implemented within school settings.
