Learn all about the art of paste paper decoration in this hands on workshop.Paste paper refers to a traditional bookbinding technique where a coloured paste is applied to paper, then scraped or stamped to create patterns. You will decorate paper using acrylic paint in methylcellulose paste. Explore the patterns and textures that you create by layering prints. By the end of the session, you'll have a collection of your own decorated papers and ideas for how to use them at home.
This workshop is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to established artists.
Held in a friendly, welcoming studio on wellington Road, Oxton, from 10am till 2pm. There are just 6 places available so you will have plenty of support.
Tea and coffee provided, and there is a local bakery if you get hungry.
Ticket price £40
All materials and equipment provided, so just bring an apron (or wear clothing that you don't mind getting paint on).
