About this Event
A Part W x LFA walking tour looking at belonging in the City and the impact that women led projects have on place
Come and join members of the Part W team on a walk around selected sites from our Women's Work London Map. Over the course of 1.5 hours, we will introduce you to key buildings and projects that were designed, engineered or built by women, and to their stories. We will end the walk at one of the projects for a drink and a discussion around whether women built projects make more inclusive and gender sensitive places that promote belonging.
We are meeting just south of Green Park tube station at 5.45 on the 16th June and will start on the walk at 6pm. The walk will be about 1.5 hours long and we will finish on the South Bank for a drink and discussion about what we have seen and the impact that women led projects have had on belonging in the city.
A google maps link to our starting point will be sent to all participants in advance of the event.
The route is relatively flat on urban pavements and city streets. We have two routes and plan to undertake the walk in two groups, one that will follow a more direct route that includes steps and one that takes a slightly less direct route but avoids steps as far as possible.
We are selling a range of ticket types all of which help fund the work of Part W and allow us to continue our action and campaigns. Some of the tickets include a folded Women's Work Map which we will bring with us on the day for those purchased in advance.
Numbers are limited so please buy your tickets well in advance and if your plans change please let us know at [email protected]
