About this Event
Join us at Liberation Art Gallery for a delightful parent and child pottery workshop where you’ll create a charming family of handbuilt ceramic mice together. Designed as a shared creative experience, this workshop invites one adult and one child to collaborate, imagine, and bring their own mice characters to life using clay.
Guided by an experienced facilitator, participants will learn simple, accessible handbuilding techniques to shape mice figures, add expressive details, and create personality through ears, tails, textures, and poses. Families can design a complete mice family together, telling a story through their creations.
This workshop is beginner-friendly and focuses on creativity, storytelling, and connection. Children and parents will work side by side in a supportive gallery setting, with plenty of guidance throughout the session.
The ticket price includes two participants (one parent or caregiver and one child). All materials are provided, and kiln firing and glazing are included, so your finished ceramic mice will be professionally glazed and fired after the workshop. Completed pieces will be ready for collection at a later date.
✨ What’s included:
- Creation of a handbuilt ceramic mice family
- Clay, tools, glazing, and kiln firing
- Guidance in a relaxed, family-friendly environment
- 2 workshops - one handbuilding with clay and one mice painting workshop
✨ Who it’s for:
- One parent or caregiver and one child
- No prior pottery experience required
Note two workshops are included for mice creation. The first session will be 1.5 hours of handbuilding your family of mice with clay. Then your mice will get fired, before booking the next workshop for painting and glazing. Both workshops and firing are included in the ticket cost.
Come and enjoy a playful, hands-on pottery session that celebrates imagination, collaboration, and the joy of making together.
Guided by our in-house ceramics artist, the class encourages personal expression, experimentation, and the development of individual style. Whether you are completely new to ceramics or looking to expand your practice, this course provides the time, space, and instruction needed to grow your skills.
