About this Event
Join us for an evening of food, storytelling and connection at Paradise Cooperative.
Led by facilitator Kishanth Javegar, this participatory workshop explores how what we eat connects us to history, place and one another. What do our recipes carry? How does food connect us across generations, and what can it reveal about who we are and where we come from?
Through conversation, creative reflection and shared food, we'll explore our personal and collective relationships to recipes, ingredients and land; and consider how food can act as a powerful connector, holding stories of migration, identity and belonging.
Expect a gentle mix of talk and practice, time outdoors in the garden, and honest questions about food and society today, including whose food is celebrated, and whose stories are often left out.
We'll close the evening by coming together for a shared, seasonal meal.
This session is free and open to everyone over 16 years old, whether you cook often or not at all. Come curious, and come hungry for conversation and creativity.
